general FAQs

Lost and found after the festival will be located below:

Our seaside venue is located at 1600 Pacific Coast Highway. Just across from the San Diego bay and sharing space with the County of San Diego administration building.

Waterfront Park is an urban oasis with water fountains, green grass and walking paths for you to enjoy.
The San Diego International airport is just a mile away, and we’re walking distance from Union Station for Amtrak trains and trolleys.

We think you’ll find the park to be a very special place– we call it home and hope you’ll treat it as yours!

We highly recommend ride sharing to and from the fest. There will be designated Uber & Lyft drop off.

Set times for CRSSD Festival will be posted on our website, social media pages, and mobile app a few days before the festival.

Yep! There are several hotels located near the festival that are easily accessible and within walking distance.

Nope. The County of San Diego’s Waterfront Park is a 100% smoke free venue. As such we are a NON-SMOKING event! No cigarettes, e-cigs or vapes please. We think it’s a very small price to pay for using such a beautiful space– thank you for understanding!

Yep! You can reserve a locker in advance here.

tickets and entry

YES! We are a 21+ ONLY event and you MUST have a valid Government form of ID to enter the festival (ID Card, Drivers License, or Passport).

If you lost your ID, do NOT delay on getting a replacement – we CANNOT accept DMV temporary IDs, and CANNOT guarantee entry without proper identification!

For entry you MUST have:

  • Any US government-issued driver’s license or ID card containing a photograph and date of birth
  • US or foreign government-issued passport containing a photograph and date of birth

Sorry. Tickets are good for one entry to the fest per day. No re-entry.

Nope, we do not match tickets with and ID’s. Although please be aware of scammers and fake third party ticket vendors when buying re-sell tickets.

Yes, you will need to present your ticket both days in order to be allowed into the festival.

You do not need to print your tickets to enter.

health and safety

Yes. We have a wide assortment of food including vegan and vegetarian options. If you have dietary restrictions and need to bring in outside food, please bring a note from your doctor or nutritionist and our security guards will be happy to help approve items upon arrival.

Yes. There is a free water refill station located near the circle bar in the middle of the festival.
Fans are permitted one 24oz Nalgene style clear bottle for refills. No Camelbaks or bladders will be allowed at entry.

Yes. First aid stations will be clearly indicated on site and marked both on your festival guide and mobile app.

Prescribed medication (in container with matching ID to be checked at entry and only containing the number of doses needed for duration of event as prescribed on the pill container.)

YES. CRSSD Festival is ADA compliant and our goal is to ensure that everyone who attends the CRSSD has a great experience.

There is an ADA entrance as well as viewing locations for fans to enjoy their time at Waterfront Park.

Accessible Routes
ADA attendees are allowed to use the Express Entry with one (1) companion.

ADA Wristbands
Guests with disabilities wishing to utilize the ADA viewing areas will be required to acquire an ADA Wristband. This wristband is acquired onsite at Guest Services.
  • ADA Wristbands are valid for the duration of the festival.
  • DO NOT remove your wristband for the duration of the festival.
  • Three (3) ADA Companion Wristband will be issued per ADA patron.
If a person with a disability wishes to change their companions, they can obtain a new ADA companion wristband by returning the formerly used  wristband to Guest Services, where it will be replaced. We are unable to reissue any ADA wristband(s) unless the original wristband(s) is brought back to us to be reissued.

ADA Viewing Areas
Elevated viewing areas for guests with disabilities and their one (1) companion who may need to see above the crowd will be made available at each stage. For information on how to gain access to these areas, please visit us Guest Services.

Rules
  • Companions may be asked to stand in the back of the viewing area if capacity is reached.
  • Attendees are not allowed to save spots.
  • Do not block the view of the guests behind you
  • All seating is first come, first served.

bag policy

All persons and bags are subject to search. Clear tote bags (including handbags/purses) that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed the above dimensions will be admitted inside after inspection.

Small clutch bags or wallets that do not exceed the above dimensions, with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the venue along with one of the clear bag options (clear tote or storage bag).

Oversized bags (i.e. backpacks, suitcases, beach bags, laptop bags, etc.) and camelbacks are prohibited. There will be FREE water refill stations & empty 24 oz clear (Nalgene style) bottles are allowed inside. 

Camelbaks aren’t allowed, but bring a 24 oz clear (Nalgene style) water bottle to use the free refill station throughout the weekend.

No, Fanny packs do not need to be clear (but may be subject to further search).

Yes, all backpacks must be clear and my not exceed 12” x 12”.

No, these items do not need to be clear, just within 6.5” x 5.5” limit.

Yes, however, if they are too dark they may be subject to search.

No need to reserve. Outside lockers (subject to availability) are complimentary. 

what can i bring?

Nope- sorry. No DSLR or professional cameras (any cameras with a removable lens)

We want to ensure that your time at Waterfront Park is comfortable and safe. We’ll have a healthy dose of dancing in the sun so please don’t forget your sealed sunblock, nalgene style clear water bottles and a towel/blanket to have a seat on the grass. Gopros (no selfie sticks due to viewing) also heavily encouraged! 

  • Clear backpacks, totes, handbags, plastic that are vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 12” x 6”
  • Small clutch bags, fanny packs & wallets that do not exceed 4.5” x 6.5
  • Prescribed medication (in container with matching ID to be checked at entry and only containing the number of doses needed for duration of event as prescribed on the pill container.)
  • Cell phones
  • Non-professional cameras
  • Blankets/towels
  • Hand sanitizer and/or wipes (open/unsealed ok)
  • Sunscreen (contents to be checked at entry)
  • Chapstick / lipstick / makeup / eyedrops / gum (open/unsealed ok)
  • Empty 24oz (or less) transparent plastic bottle (Nalgene style) or clear plastic water bottle

Heavily Encouraged:

  • GoPros (w/o sticks)
  • Sunglasses
  • Earplugs
  • Good times

Prohibited items:

  • Totems
  • Hula hoops
  • LED gloves, Flowlights, etc
  • Nudity, pasties, thongs (Clothing must not when wet expose parts of body under County Code 32.1002 prohibiting public nudity)

Heavily Discouraged:

  • Rave attire. Some kandi is ok, but overboard will be turned away- use your judgment.
  • Fan Clacking- please respect your neighbors and keep it quiet on the dance floor!
